A Strong Signal for Innovation
Just before the end of 2024, we received news that felt like an early Christmas gift: RooWalk has been awarded funding through the Pro FIT project financing program of Investitionsbank Berlin (IBB)! Given the current budget freeze in Berlin, this decision sends a strong signal that innovative developments continue to be supported.
Pro FIT Project Financing: A Boost for Technological Innovation
The Pro FIT program, managed by IBB and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), supports research and development in technology-driven companies. It offers grants of up to €400,000 and loans of up to €1 million, covering up to 80% of project-related expenses. This support gives us the opportunity to further develop our innovative walking aid for children with cerebral palsy and bring it to market readiness.
Strong Partnerships for a Shared Vision
Securing funding of this scale requires strong partnerships. One key player in making this possible has been Berlin.Industrial.Group (B.I.G.), which shares our vision and is co-financing the project. For over a year now, we have been based at the B.I.G. technology campus in Marzahn—and we couldn’t have asked for a better location for our development. Moving here was definitely the right decision! We’ve already expanded, gained a larger workshop space, and are benefiting immensely from the technology services available on-site.
